The Annual Cottingham Lecture for 2024 will be on ‘Meaning and the Good Life’, delivered by Prof. Roger Crisp. Roger Crisp is Professor of Moral Philosophy, Uehiro Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at St Anne’s College Oxford. He is also Director of the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics. Professor Crisp’s research is mainly on ethics, including its history (especially ancient ethics and British moral philosophy since Hobbes), ethical theory, metaethics, and practical ethics. There will be a lecture of one hour followed by half an hour for a question-and-answer session.
